Tour of the Mary Livingston Ripley Gardens

Bob and I took a guided tour of the beautiful Ripley Gardens this evening.  Janet Draper, the chief horticulturist for this garden, gave a very entertaining and informative talk.
This beautiful lily was embellished with rain drops.

Lots of colorful plants.

Painting at the Franciscan Monastery

Our plein air painting group went to the Franciscan Monastery on Wednesday, 6/8/11.  I had not been for over twenty years.  What a beautiful oasis that is.  Once inside of the gates, it is hard to believe you are inside a bustling city.  Everything is very green and serene

Our Day on the Isle of Capri

I went to Capri with my Mom and Aunt Catherine when I was 12.  It has changed in 55 years.  They still have crazy drivers; the blue grotto is still blue; and everything is still overpriced.  That said, we had a great time, including our chair lift ride to the top.

Bob on the chair lift to the top.

Beautiful pattern made by our jet boat.
Boats in Capri harbor.

Waiting to go into the Blue Grotto

The Blue Grotto really is that blue.  They say the light comes in from the little
opening shown above.

Painting in Positano

This is where I painted in Positano.  Nice shady spot.  The gentleman is Luca.
He took very good care of me while I painted the scene below.  He served me coca
cola, expresso and lunch when Bob joined me.

Oblivious to Positano
This man was surrounded by beauty, but preferred his newspaper to the
scenery.  I love men.  Bob most of all.  K

More of Positano

Bob can be so oblivious.  She was cute Bob.
