Bob is Home

Bob got home after working with the youth for the Appalachian Service Project.  This year, they went to Man, WV.  Two teams worked to refurbish an abandoned trailed for a young couple with a two month old baby.  There were lots of stories to tell.  It is good to have him home with all his fingers and toes.

The Lotus are at their Peak

On July 2nd, we went to Kenilworth Aquatic Gardens with our friends Bill Eilerman and Verda Van Hart.  The lotus were at their peak.  It was afternoon when we arrived, so many of them had closed up to protect them from too much sun.  Those that were open were past their peak and could no longer close.  We saw other wildlife, some pictured below.

I turned 68 last weekend.  Bob and I celebrated at the Kennedy Center, seeing Wicked.  Sunday, Father's Day, we met Glynis, Jim, Nicole, Brent and their dogs for a little hike to the summit of Sugarloaf Mountain.  It was a very nice weekend, June 18-19.
