We, and the Paulin's, had a friend near Bariloche. We were not aware that it was the same person, Roxy, until Roxy suggested that we look up Bob and Sandy and share a ramise (like a cab) when we came to visit. We had a wonderful adventure to paradise. Roxy told us she lived right behind a hotel, so we had the driver drop us off at the hotel . We had about a half mile walk to her wonderul log and stone house overlooking a lake and mountains. She came to meet us with her do, so the walk was more fun.

Roxy served us a wonderful meal of grilled Argentine beef and sausages, roasted vegetables, salad and wine. We watched the sky turn colors on her porch and later in the living room.

Roxy is a retired USAir pilot who has found paradise near Bariloche and a wonderful hostess. Thanks Roxy. I look forward to sharing another meal with you on Capitol Hill.

Roadside market near the Ski Lift

View of hotel near Barilocci.
This is the ultimate place to stay when visiting this area, if you have thousands of dollars to pay each night. Our hotel was nice enough.

Views from the top of the Chair life.

Getting High in Patagonia

This field trip led us to a ski lift where we could view the beauty of the lakes of Patagonia. It was odd for us to board a ski chair without skis or snow.
More of the beautiful views to follow.

Lunch being prepared at the sheep farm

After learning all about sheep farming, shearing, etc., we were well fed on grilled lamb, beef, and sausages. Muy Bueno.

Visiting the Sheep Farm

White Eyed Sheep

Coli, the unmarried sun that assured us that none of this years lambs have blue eyes...his were true blue.

Coli and Marta make us matte tea. We bought some and have quickly become addicted...not really. Sipping the tea through that little filter straw is very soothing and has many health benefits.

Barrilocci field trip

Shots of the tourees and some of the scenery on our field trip to the sheep ranch.
