The Evolution of Mary Jo's Bouquet

I had some extra Kay time this afternoon and began the process for painting Mary Jo's bouquet. This will be a watercolor on stretched canvas. The first step is to prime the canvas with rubbing alcohol to remove all fingerprints. Then I added lots and lots of magenta, yellow orange, blue, teal, purple in a random pattern. Now, it has to dry before I begin carving out the flowers, using a stiff lifting brush. More to follow.

  1. Awesome!! I had no idea this was how it all got started...running thru the paint to make the actual pic!! You are so talented, thank you so much! Can't wait to watch this process.
